🚨 PS5 BLACKOUT — DAY 2: THE MESSAGE IS GETTING LOUDER

DAY 2 IS HERE.

And despite everyone saying:

“Nobody is going to participate.”

“Sony doesn't care.”

“This won't accomplish anything.”

Something interesting is happening.

MORE AND MORE GAMERS ARE TALKING ABOUT #PSBLACKOUT.

The movement is being covered.

The petition has reached hundreds of thousands of signatures.

Posts are spreading.

Gamers are debating physical ownership.

And more people are joining the conversation.

Debate means people are paying attention.

But from what I'm seeing, the support isn't disappearing because people criticize us.

IT'S GROWING.

And we're only on DAY 2.

Some people say:

“Sony doesn't care if you don't play PS5 for a week.”

Maybe seven days alone won't change Sony.

So let's make the message bigger than that.

This isn't just about turning off a console.

THIS IS ABOUT WHETHER PLAYSTATION KEEPS OUR BUSINESS.

Sony is moving PlayStation toward a future without physical game releases.

At the same time, PlayStation's own terms tell customers that digital content purchased through the PlayStation Store is provided under a LICENSE — you don't own that digital product in the same sense that you possess a physical copy.

So think about the direction we're being asked to accept:

💿 Less physical ownership.

🔄 Less ability to resell.

🤝 Less ability to lend.

🏪 Less competition between retailers.

📚 Fewer preservation options.

☁️ Greater dependence on one digital ecosystem.

Companies are allowed to make business decisions.

CUSTOMERS ARE ALLOWED TO MAKE BUSINESS DECISIONS TOO.

If PlayStation removes something we value, we're allowed to reconsider whether PlayStation deserves our money.

That's not entitlement.

THAT'S CONSUMER CHOICE.

And here's the message Sony needs to understand:

# DON'T ASSUME TODAY'S PLAYSTATION CUSTOMER IS TOMORROW'S PLAYSTATION CUSTOMER.

Brand loyalty isn't unconditional.

If another gaming platform gives customers:

💿 More ownership options

🏪 More purchasing choices

🔄 A healthier used-game market

🤝 More consumer freedom

💰 Better value

📚 Better preservation

...then consumers have every right to take their money there.

Some of us grew up with PlayStation.

We've bought PlayStation consoles.

We've built PlayStation collections.

We've spent thousands of dollars in the PlayStation ecosystem.

THAT'S WHY WE CARE.

Being a PlayStation customer doesn't mean blindly agreeing with every decision PlayStation makes.

Sometimes supporting something means being willing to tell it:

YOU'RE GOING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION.
